Geiranger is located at the stunning fjord landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Geirangerfjord, it is known for its breathtaking natural beauty. The village offers a tranquil and serene atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful getaway. However, it gets very busy during the summer. One of the highlights of Geiranger is the iconic Seven Sisters Waterfall. This majestic waterfall consists of seven separate streams cascading down the mountainside. Visitors can enjoy the view from various vantage points, including from the water on a fjord cruise or from the famous Eagle's Bend viewpoint. I recommend the fjord cruise! Geiranger is also home to charming wooden houses, local shops, and cozy cafes where you can indulge in traditional Norwegian cuisine.
The road here is quite challenging and steep. And very busy during the summer.
